The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) has commenced its 2026 Customer Service Week with a Sports and Wellness Day, bringing staff together for a day of sporting activities, health awareness, fun and team bonding.
The Sports and Wellness Day, held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, featured a health talk on hypertension, highlighting the importance of awareness, prevention and healthy living. The session touched on factors associated with hypertension, including ageing, genetics and the possible side effects of certain medications.
The health talk was followed by a keenly contested tug-of-war competition between the male and female teams, with the male team emerging victorious.
The highlight of the sporting activities was an exciting volleyball match between the FMBN Queens and the FMBN Legends, with the Queens securing an impressive victory over the Legends.
Other activities included egg race, sack race, knotting of ties and tying of headgears, creating an atmosphere of fun, laughter and camaraderie among staff.
At the end of the competitions, the FMBN Queens received the trophy for the volleyball tournament, while winners in the other game categories were presented with awards and medals.
The week-long celebration, themed “Go the Extra Mile,” is designed to appreciate customers, recognise staff and reinforce the Bank’s commitment to service excellence.
